I do collect a 50% deposit, however, as per my cancellation policy, if you cancel within 72 hours or do not show up at all, you owe the remainder of the fee. It’s been like pulling teeth to collect this other half. In an effort to protect myself, (I’m currently owed almost $8,000.00 in unpaid fees!), I must require pre-payment if you have a history of cancellations. I don’t care if the cancellations were with me or other providers (yes, we all talk, if you do this we all know it), and I don’t want to hear what your reasoning was for the cancellations. If you really want to see me you’ll behave or you’ll pre-pay.
